Between The Covers was created for the fantasy lovers, the romance readers, the coffee shop lingerers, and the bookworms.
What began as a casual “wouldn’t it be crazy if…” conversation quickly evolved into a fully immersive space designed for readers to gather, unwind, obsess over fictional characters, discover new favorite stories, and feel part of a community that understands the magic of getting completely lost in a book.
More than a bookstore, bar or café, Between The Covers is a bookbar experience — thoughtfully curated with fantasy and romance at its heart, locally roasted coffee, wine and mocktails, community events, release parties, book clubs, indie author support, and spaces designed to make readers want to stay awhile.

She Didn’t Just Build a Bookbar.
Heather is the founder and heart behind Between The Covers Bookbar — Reno’s first immersive fantasy and romance-focused bookbar experience.
A lifelong reader with a deep love for romantasy, cozy coffee shops, wine nights, and stories that completely consume your personality for weeks at a time, Heather created Between The Covers to bring something to Reno’s bookish community that previously only seemed to exist somewhere else.
What started as an offhand conversation with her husband — “you know what would be crazy…” — quickly became months of planning, research, problem-solving, excitement, and determination to create a space where readers could gather and genuinely feel at home.
Her vision for Between The Covers goes beyond bookshelves and beverages. It’s about creating an atmosphere where readers can connect over favorite tropes, attend release parties for highly anticipated books, support indie and local authors, join book clubs, sip themed drinks, and experience the kind of immersive community that fantasy and romance readers have been craving for years.
At its core, Between The Covers is a love letter to readers — built by one of their own. And now, that dream is becoming a reality — one chapter, one gathering, and one unforgettable story at a time.

Limited to about ten members at a time, the Creator Circle is made up of passionate readers, BookTok/Bookstagram creators, reviewers, photographers, and book lovers who genuinely love connecting people with their next favorite obsession. From release parties and featured drinks to anticipated launches and community events, these creators help bring the Between The Covers experience to life both online and in-store.
